TCO Report Created by Akasia Experts
  • Akasia's FinOps experts will create the TCO report PPT within 48 hours and free you to focus on selling.
  • Submit your modeling parameters (VMs to model, region, commit ratios, max server consolidation ratio) in your request prior to the model.
  • If no modeling parameters are submitted then the Akasia experts will use default modeling parameters.
  • Email the dataset (RVTools file or Akasia Collector output) and the modeling parameters to ibmsales@akasiacloud.com

Summary

The Akasia FinOps Modeler provides cost comparisons of an existing VMware environment, its VCF and VVF pricing as well as its in-Cloud pricing for AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM Cloud and Oracle Cloud. The Akasia TCO models allow service providers, consulting experts, and IT managers in the VMware and cloud ecosystem to quickly analyze data center environments and provide projected costs, allowing IT management teams to make an informed decision regarding their data center transformation.

The Akasia FinOps Modeler analyzes and optimizes for the following infrastructure scenarios:
• Providing analysis for comparing current costs to the new, revamped VMware pricing structure
• Right-sizing existing VMware workloads to keep costs low under the new VMware pricing structure
• TCO analysis and modeling if the client migrates to VMware-on-Cloud such as VMware on AWS, Azure VMware Solution, IBM Cloud for VMware, Google Cloud VMware Engine and Oracle Cloud VMware Solution.
• TCO analysis if the client wants to migrate away from VMware to a cloud-native platform
• TCO analysis and modeling for migrating workloads to Nutanix or Microsoft Azure Stack

Data gathering

Use the Akasia Collector to pull data from vCenter, upload an RVTools file or hand create the datafiles and upload them.

Set Modeling Parameters for target platforms

Set parameters typical in a VMware env such as location, CPU / RAM Over Commit Ratios, extra headroom, max VMs / Host, and external storage

View TCO Comparisons for source and target platforms

View side by side TCO comparisons for the target platforms for both as-is and right-sized costs

Add additional services to flesh out model

Add optional target-specific services such as load balancers, security options, etc. as well as any admin costs to flesh out TCO

Download the Bill of Materials

Download the detailed BoM for the target environment and get a head start on performing the migrations
