Viewing and managing device usernames and passwords
From the device details page, you can view existing usernames and passwords on a device and update them to new values.
Before you begin
First, go to the device menu and make sure that you have the correct account permissions to complete the tasks.
- Go to your console's device menu. For more information, see Navigating to devices.
- Make sure that you have any necessary account permissions and device access. Only the account owner, or a user with the
Manage users
classic infrastructure permission, can adjust the permissions.

Viewing device passwords
- From the Devices menu, select Device List.
- Select the virtual server instance that you want to view.
- Select the Passwords tab to show all passwords for the instance. If the passwords are not displayed, you might not have the correct permissions.
Managing usernames or passwords
- From the Devices menu, select Device List.
- Select the virtual server instance that you want to manage.
- Select the Passwords tab to show all passwords for the instance.
- In the Actions menu next to the username and password that you want to update, click Edit credentials.
- Update your username or password and click Save.
