Bare metal server
When you size the capacity of your servers, consider your current requirements, and include extra capacity to accommodate anticipated growth. For more information about sizing properly, see Exporting VMware inventory.
Data center location
Select the IBM Cloud® data center settings. For more information, see IBM Cloud locations for resource deployment.
Geography
Select the region where the instance is to be hosted.
Data center
Select the IBM Cloud data center where the instance is to be hosted. If you select a VMware vSAN™ component, the location list is filtered by SSD availability.
Pod
Select the IBM Cloud data center pod where you want to deploy your resources. Keep the default pod selection if you do not have reasons to prefer a different pod.
CPU model and RAM
You can choose Cascade Lake or SAP-certified Cascade Lake servers[1].

For Cascade Lake servers, choose from the following CPU models and supported RAM sizes:
