repository is added to the scale-out repository as an extent. - When you create the backup job, you must select
IC4V Scale-Out Repository
as the backup repository, and notIC4V Default Config Backup Repository
. The latter repository is intended for the Veeam configuration backups. - You can add more repositories to this default repository, such as a backup repository of the type Object Storage. For more information, see Adding scale-out repositories. Follow the steps and return here to continue with the following tasks.
Veeam on an instance deployed with private network only
If you want to access IBM Cloud Object Storage by using Veeam on a private-only VCF for Classic - Automated instance, you must configure Veeam to access the internet through a proxy server. This way, Veeam can verify the TLS certificate that is used by IBM Cloud Object Storage.
For more information, see How to configure an HTTP proxy for Veeam components.
